Fusible stabilizer

I am still thinking about Pilar's applique. And I have been reading around the blog some things and also asking people in the store. This is what I found out about how to make an applique:
You can use a fusible stabilizer in the back of the fabric you want to applique. Cut the shape of your applique, peel off the back paper of the stabilizer, iron onto garment and finally you can stitch over the applique to secure it. You can do it on the border by machine or you can just attach it with few stiches by hand or machine, but this may fray if the borders are not sewn. Sometimes this might be the "look" you like best.
Hope this helps!
